{Sweet, Sweet "Noami"}

The other day I realized that I have not taken many pictures between Christmas and now which means that almost two months have passed without photos of our growing little girl. So, like any good, scrapbooking mommy would do, I busted out the camera and took a few hundred photos in two days so that Naomi's "8 month" baby book spread would not be empty! :)

She looks dainty and girly but has such a silly little side to her too. I have a feeling she'll be competing with her brother for the spotlight pretty soon. Her latest talents include growling, smacking her lips, blowing raspberries, rolling on to her tummy while sleeping, she loves standing up at things (with assistance) and also bouncing in her saucer and Jenny-Jump-Up. You'll often see Eli covering his ears because she is bouncing so hard in her saucer which makes quite the raucous! She never stops moving; some part of her body is constantly in motion! How did we end up with two like that?! She is also teething like no other at the moment. Since January 11th, she has cut 3.5 teeth and I have a feeling there are a few more coming in as well. At least we're getting it over with all in one fell swoop right?

Aside from that, I am in love with her baby blues, soft fuzzy hair and edible cheeks, hands, legs, toes...you name it, I want to squeeze it and nibble on it! I am reminded of why this stage is so fun. All baby cuteness and no "parenting" required yet! Makes me miss my little monkey at this age!

{My Silly Valentines!}

Valentine's Day is not often grandly celebrated in the Tyler household, in fact, not usually at all (we both agree its a bit over the top). But this year, I was surprised by a card, candy and romantic chic flick from Grant and it got me in the mood. So, we started off with heart shaped toast for breakfast, joined friends for valentine cupcake decorating with the kids, ate heart shaped sandwiches for lunch and then had plans of grandeur for dinner. Mom and Dad were coming over to join us, I was going to decorate the table with red and white, make homemade calzones in the shape of hearts and have a fun evening with my family...then the dough happened! First off it didn't quite make as much as I thought it would, then I couldn't get it to roll out and I certainly wasn't going to get it into the shape of a heart! So at 6 o'clock, with family hungry, table not set with anything cute and no heart shaped calzones, we sent my dad to Papa Murphy's, lit some candles and opened the Coronas...Happy Valentine's Day!

{They're Done!}

I am so thankful to our friend Sandy for taking our latest family photos! I was so excited the day we took them and even more so now that I see them all in "print"!!!!!! We wanted new family photos so that we could have some nice ones of the four of us, a few of the kids together and also to capture Naomi's 6 month stage. I think we were sucessful and Sandy even snuck in a few of Eli by himself and of just Grant and I. Thank you! Thank you! I am so thrilled with the way they turned out!

{...and a few more}

This a bit "Benjamin Button-ish" I realize (working backwards for those that don't know the story) but I came across these pictures of Christmas Eve and wanted to post them. I figured you wouldn't mind! This Christmas Eve was an extra special day for our family. We spent the morning at my parents' house putting together "goodie" bags that we'd planned to hand out to the homeless on Christmas morning. Eli had a blast running around the living room placing (sometimes throwing) the items into the bags until they were stuffed with food, toiletries, etc. and then we closed them up with a candy cane and message about our Savior. That evening we attended the Christmas Eve service at our church as a family and then had a "Happy Birthday Jesus" party at my parents' house afterwards. What an amazing day!

{What Goes Around Comes Around}

The doggie bucket "hat" returns! It really is the perfect accessory! I couldn't resist sharing both photos of Eli and Naomi (both around 6.5 months) in their doggie "hat". Naomi is 7 months now and going strong. She just got her first tooth (whew! That was a rough 3 days!) and she is desperate to be on the move and to keep up with Eli but she's got a few tricks to learn yet before that happens. I'm sure it will be soon though! We are seeing more of her personality emerge and I'm afraid she's going to be as animated/dramatic as Eli, and maybe even more! Not sure how we ended up with two....

Here are few more recent photos of our little "Noami-Boami" as we call her! She's been testing our her flexibility lately.

{...And A Happy New Year}

It is hard not to look back at 2010 without seeing the many, many blessings that we've received! While there were many days when I just wanted to complain, or things weren't going as I had planned, and as hard as those moments seemed right then and there, I can honestly say that God has given us much more than we deserve! Our lives are full and He gets the credit for that! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year everyone!

{Long Over Due}

Naomi turned 6 months at the beginning of this month and we had photos taken of her and also of our "new" family! As I was posting the last picture on the previous post, I realized I never posted the amazing newborn photos of our sweet little girl that Sandy took. So without further ado...

Can't believe she is already 6 months old. We love you little girl!
